RadioHub Extended IO SS Series – Wireless I/O Interface Module
RadioHub Extended IO Series is a compact wireless I/O interface module designed to connect industrial field devices to secure wireless communication networks. The module enables standard wired instruments and control devices to be integrated into Mimes wireless architectures, reducing field cabling, simplifying installation, and supporting flexible system expansion.
RadioHub Extended IO is based on the ISA100.11a open industrial wireless standard, providing a standardized and interoperable communication platform for industrial automation and monitoring applications. The solution can be connected to any compatible ISA100 gateway and may be integrated into existing ISA100 wireless networks, enabling users to expand their installed infrastructure without being locked into a proprietary wireless ecosystem.
RadioHub Extended IO is developed for demanding industrial environments and can be used in both functional safety applications and standard industrial monitoring and control applications. For Fire & Gas and other safety-related systems, RadioHub Extended IO can form part of a SIL2-capable Mimes architecture where safe signal transfer, diagnostics, and reliable field integration are required. For non-SIL applications, the same platform provides a robust wireless I/O solution for process monitoring, remote control, utility systems, environmental monitoring, and general industrial automation.
The Extended IO Series provides flexible field interfacing through analogue input, digital output / relay control, and an additional analogue output. This makes the module suitable for applications where both signal acquisition and controlled output signalling are required, such as wireless signal transfer, remote control, alarm activation, and integration with third-party PLC, SCADA, or Fire & Gas systems.
The module supports connection of field devices such as gas detectors, flame detectors, pressure sensors, level instruments, beacons, sounders, actuators, and other equipment using standard industrial signals. The additional analogue output allows RadioHub Extended IO to represent or reproduce field signals on the receiving side, enabling flexible signal transfer and integration into existing control systems.
