RadioBeacon GRP Series – Wireless Xenon Beacon

RadioBeacon GRP Series from Mimes brings secure wireless communication to field-mounted xenon visual alarm beacons, enabling flexible alarm signalling with only local power required at the beacon location. The solution reduces field cabling, simplifies installation, and removes many of the I/O limitations normally associated with conventional wired beacon systems.

The GRP Series is designed for industrial Fire & Gas, process safety, marine, energy, offshore, and hazardous area applications where reliable visual warning is required. The integrated wireless I/O enables efficient installation, flexible alarm coverage, and simple expansion of distributed alarm and safety systems.

The RadioBeacon GRP Series uses a high-output xenon strobe to provide a powerful visual alarm signal, making it suitable for demanding environments where strong flashing indication is required. The xenon beacon provides effective signalling for fire alarms, gas alarms, process alarms, evacuation warnings, machinery area alerts, and other safety-critical notifications.

Housed in a robust GRP enclosure, the solution is well suited for harsh industrial and offshore environments, providing excellent corrosion resistance and reliable long-term operation in exposed areas.

Cybersecurity is designed into the solution from the core, with secure wireless communication using 128-bit AES encryption. RadioBeacon GRP Series supports SIL-capable wireless signalling and can be integrated into Mimes safety architectures for SIL1 and SIL2 compliant applications.

With wireless communication, local power, and a rugged GRP enclosure, RadioBeacon GRP Series provides a flexible and cost-efficient solution for expanding visual alarm coverage without extensive signal cabling.
