MAS2 – Wireless Mass Alarm Station
MAS2 – Wireless Mass Alarm Station is a pre-assembled wireless alarm unit designed for high-visibility and high-audibility alarm notification in industrial safety applications. The system combines a high-output xenon beacon and a powerful S1F industrial alarm sounder into one compact alarm station, enabling fast deployment of wireless warning and mass notification functions without traditional signal cabling.
MAS2 uses secure ISA100 wireless communication for integration into Mimes wireless safety and monitoring architectures. The integrated radio interface allows the alarm station to be activated remotely from a controller, gateway, Fire & Gas system, or other safety-related alarm logic. This makes MAS2 suitable for emergency warning, gas alarm notification, evacuation alerts, process alarms, and local area mass alarm applications.
The sounder provides up to 117/125/127 dB(A) sound output with 64 selectable alarm tones and 4 remotely selectable alarm stages/channels, enabling different alarm patterns to be used for different alarm scenarios. The LED beacon provides a clear visual alarm indication with selectable flash modes for effective signalling in demanding industrial environments.
MAS2 is designed for use in industrial, energy, marine, offshore, and hazardous area applications. The common environmental rating for the beacon and sounder assembly is IP66, with robust corrosion-proof marine-grade aluminium signalling devices. The common operating temperature range for the combined MAS2 assembly is –40 °C to +70 °C.
